Andorra-England 0-2, Capello: We will play to win. Always

Fabio Capello has said that Setanta Sports is delighted to have beaten Andorra - and insists the side will play to win in Croatia on Wednesday. Although the team did not convince in the 2-0 victory, there were positive aspects to take the game of impressive displays including Joe Cole, who scored two goals, and Theo Walcott.

And Capello, who changed the game when he presented Cole half-time, said that it was more than happy to get off to a winning start. "We had a lot of possibilities. I'm happy because this is a very important three points," he told Setanta Sports.

"In the first half we played well during the first 15 or 20 minutes and had two opportunities to mark goals. Walcott played very well. It's fantastic. But it is very difficult to score a goal. In the second half, things changed and we scored the goals."

Asked if the screen has affected confidence ahead of Croatia clash, insisted that it would be a completely different game, but it is expected that team to go for another three points. ''It's important to win. I think it will be another game against Croatia. Croatia is different. I think we have to play to win. Always."

Joe Cole has fallen out of favour with Capello in recent games but, after obtaining both goals against Andorra, Capello may be forced to put back into the starting line-up on Wednesday. "It was a good time for Cole," he said.

"He is dangerous - with his movement, is always in space."

Many also were surprised to see Walcott make his first England start in place of Beckham, Capello, but simply felt the son was better suited to face Andorra. "I chose the first XI and, at this time, against this opposition, it is best to choose Walcott," he added. "He's dangerous. He's fast. Played well."
