Mourinho and Inter seemed a match made in heaven

Inter Milan built on their positive start in Europe for the assault on the top of the Serie A table for the first time this season with a 3-1 victory at Torino. An own goal from Marco Pisano, and a goal each side of Brazilian Maicon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, four days after a 2-0 Champions League win over Panathinaikos, provided further evidence that the marriage between the Inter and the new coach José Mourinho is gelling very well.

And the top of the tree is in search for a family with Juventus move up to second after their 1-0 success at rock bottom Cagliari. Lazio, the only team with a record 100 percent, can regain the league lead if they win Sunday night match at AC Milan, who are currently held only by the hapless bottom Cagliari.

Inter were dominant at his best in Turin and there were clear signs that the magic of Mourinho has already begun to take effect. The former Chelsea manager began the redeemed Adriano to the front, along with Sweden striker Ibrahimovic and the couple became too much for Torino.

Adriano who was freed fellow Brazilian Alessandro Mancini on the right after 24 minutes with the end of the cross became its own network of Pisano. Only two minutes later, Maicon doubled the lead as he was allowed to run unopposed at the corner of the box before unleashing Turin in the top two goalkeepers a shell that could not have stopped.

Ibrahimovic and rounds out the comprehensive victory, finishing off good work from Mancini Maicon and with the outside of his right foot. Torino did not leave the building empty-handed, though, as Elvis Abbruscato netted a Jurgen Samuel Cruz about 14 minutes from time.

Juventus were without injured French forward David Trezeguet, but new signing Brazilian Amauri shown that it is more than a replacement as wide volley home strike partner Vincenzo Iaquinta of the film after 39 minutes. In Florence Antonio Gilardino continued his return to top form in order to win against Bologna for Fiorentina in a 1-0 victory.

Gilardino, whose career appears to be stalled in Milan last season, peeled away at the back after hitting a home header from Mario Santana of the extreme right wing cross eight minutes before the break. On Saturday, AS Roma won its first game of the season with a 3-0 success at home Reggina. Cristian Panucci opened the scoring on the stroke of half time before Simone Perrotta and Alberto Aquilani added second half strikes.
