United to maintain Campbell?

Manchester United have reminded Fraizer Campbell for pre-season training, but The Sun reported that the daughter would still be able to exercise his trade elsewhere next season…

Campbell rose to prominence last term of the loan during his spell at Hull City, scoring 15 goals and starring the Championship play-off final to help the Tigers win promotion to the Premier League.

Hull boss Phil Brown made his first priority to retain the 20-year-old, but United will provide services to the speedy striker close inspection during the summer before deciding whether to hold or discard.

The England under-21 international would prefer a permanent transfer if deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, Hull and have been granted right of first refusal.

Aston Villa have also been linked with Campbell, who scored 21 goals during his season-long stay at Royal Antwerp.
