Hleb complete move to Barcelona

Alexander Hleb has fulfilled its commitment to £ 11.8m move to Barcelona from Arsenal. The 27-year-old Belarus midfielder had a doctor in the Spanish city on Wednesday and he described his move to the giant of the League as "a dream". "I like this team," said Hleb. "I will give my best and I want to win everything with the club.

Hleb arrived at Camp Nou on the day that Brazil star Ronaldinho was in Milan with a doctor as he prepared to leave the Spanish side. Hleb had been linked with Inter Milan, Barcelona, but have won the race to sign him.

Arsenal have also lost to AC Milan Mathieu Flamini and Gilberto Silva is preparing to sign for Panathinaikos. Hleb departure from Emirates Stadium seemed likely over the summer after the player admitted he was "mentally tired" of the combination of living in London and play at the highest level of football.

He joined Arsenal in 2005 after the Bundesliga club Stuttgart paid £ 11.2m set for their services. Hleb Barcelona becomes the fifth summer signing following the arrivals of Seydou Keita, Gerard Pique, Martin Caceres and Daniel Alves.(bbc)
