Tell 'em you leave Frank

Inter Milan wants to tell Frank Lampard Big Phil Scolari: I do.

Scolari faces a nightmare start to his reign as Chelsea boss as the Italian giants step up their bid to attract lamps to San Siro. A high-level source told SunSport: "We will do whatever it takes to sign Lampard.

"José Mourinho has informed the president wants Lamps in the club by the time the players return on July 16. We are confident that will satisfy the desire of the coach."

Inter officials are using the same kind of guerrilla tactics Real Madrid have used in their efforts to capture Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo. Lampard, 30, reported Chelsea for pre-season, but yesterday let alone one to one with the manager.

However, Scolari did call a team meeting in which he promised to bring trophies to the club next season. The former head of Portugal remains ready to maintain Lampard even if only for the midfielder last year of the agreement.

A meeting between the two is scheduled for tomorrow and Inter will apply pressure on the England man to request a transfer to Italy. As SunSport revealed on Monday, Inter opened negotiations with Chelsea by fax to £ 6.5million bid for lamps. They are willing to pay up to £ 9m. Lampard was listening yesterday as Scolari threw down the gauntlet to his players for next season.

A player revealed: "He says that respects what it has achieved, but it was a new future." He reminded us that we have the same goals and promised if we have worked well with him we want to win trophies next season. "(Source: the sun)
