Tottenham drew with Chelsea 1-1, Torres, declining seven to 10 days

Liverpool was unable to take the tie compared to Chelsea and Tottenham signed a draw without goals compared to Aston Villa. The bad news was the injury to Fernando Torres, who had to be replaced with a puncture in the thigh.

Aware that Chelsea had played, Rafa Benitez's team not only had the opportunity to access the top of the classification, but Liverpool could add three wins in their first three league games for the first time since 1994.

Do not succeeded, nor was lucky, because they lost to Fernando Torres to the half-hour game, after suffering a puncture on the back of the right thigh. Benitez said at the press conference after the meeting that Torres will further medical tests on Monday and a scanner to dictate the extent of the injury.

"I still do not know how long it will be outside Torres. We will have to await the outcome of the scanner. It can be dormant for seven to ten days, but not made until the scanner did not know," said the coach of the "reds".
The Tottenham slows to Chelsea

For their part, Chelsea lost the first points of the season in the English league soccer to tie 1-1 at home to Tottenham, which halted all attempts by the 'blues'. The Tottenham, who had lost the first two matches of the Premier, was already down on the scoreboard in minute 27 with a bit of Iuliano Belletti, but tied with Darren Bent just before the break.

Chelsea did not reach the level of fluidity of the first triumph at home to Portsmouth, and during the 90 minutes he was vulnerable. The archer of the 'Spurs', Heurelho Gomes, saved both of the first game against an action by Frank Lampard, but Tottenham's technical Spanish Juande Ramos was not intimidated and provoked several corners on the bow "blue".

A fantastic game between the Mexican Giovanni dos Santos and Croatian Luka Modric concluded the eight minutes with an auction of Bent.

Gradually, Chelsea began to dominate. Michael Essien, right, ahead of Belletti fired at larguero and defender Jonathan Woodgate had to refuse to clear the corner. The Portuguese Deco drew what, Bent failed in clearing and Belletti to beat Gomes.

When it seemed that this would lead to rest with the 1-1, a quick move Bent allowed to beat Petr Cech. It was the first goal for Chelsea snapped at three games.

Chelsea's Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari, who had won the first two games, he tried more in the second period, but it lacked freshness and Tottenham was formed with the first point of the season in a stadium complex. Woodgate prevented the goal from Lampard in the time extension.

Liverpool, Chelsea next to another team that had won the first two encounters, may be as sole leader if then wins in Birmingham to Aston Villa.
