England-Czech Republic 2-2: Capello focuses on positives

Fabio Capello told Setanta Sports that there are many positive aspects to emerge from England's poor 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic and he cree that will improve the proceedings shortly.

England fell behind twice and not to inspire fans to Wembley, but Capello thinks that the team did quite well and not just to cope with the visitors' counter-attacking style.

"We played the first half very well," he told Setanta Sports. "We had a lot of chances to score. I'm happy because we played a long time - an hour - that I liked, but the counter-attack the Czechs used was very dangerous. I learned that when the other team uses the counterattack, we have some problems."

With the Premier League season which has just begun, many of them are still on the side to reach full match fitness and Capello cree that was a factor in performance. "We are at the beginning of the season and some of the players are not at the top, physically. "I am sure the next match will be better." He added: "We played well. The Czech Republic is very strong."

During the game, it became clear that FA chief executive Brian Barwick - that Capello appointed in December last year - will leave his post later this year.

But asked for his reaction, Capello refused to be drawn on the announcement. "My reaction is that it is not my job," he said. "It's a board decision."
