Benitez praises strikers

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez believes it has a strike force as good as anything in Europe.

Spanish star Fernando Torres and recruit new Robbie Keane is expected to be sent to their Champions League qualifier against Belgian champion Standard Liege.

This third qualifying round, first stage, should not be too demanding for Liverpool, who have never lost a leg out at this stage of the competition. And Benitez is banking on Torres and Keane for goals.

He said: "Keane and Torres are smart players, who scored a bunch of goals last season as they have played more games together for us, they also Result in this case.

"These two forwards are first class, and may be at the level of anyone in this competition. They get better and better. They need time. It has been a difficult summer with players arriving for training at various stages, but I do not care about them in the future."
