Ambro ambushes Juve

Milan eventually found its way Berlusconi Trophy with a 4-1 victory over Juventus thanks to Massimo Ambrosini's corset.

This traditional summer meeting came at a time when very different for both clubs, as Juve are in sparkling form after their 4-0 Champions League Thrashing of Artmedia, while the Rossoneri have struggled in pre-season.

Pippo Inzaghi was only fit for the bank, so Alberto Paloschi remains the only available forward. Gianluigi Buffon was rested and both clubs have decided to change goalkeepers the break. Zdenek Grygera and Marek Jankulovski fired units at an angle across the face of goal, while Tiago Mendes' loop header skimmed the wood.

Amauri hit the back of the net to Alessandro Del Piero through the ball, but was marked offside. By contrast, Milan took the lead with the sudden Jankulovski left-foot snapshot of the left channel, which seemed to have goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti by surprise. The veteran should've saved it and indicated the lighting temporarily blind.

Amauri became a strong run and shot to the roof of the net, but the Rossoneri did 2-0. Clarence Seedorf jumped past Grygera and chipped a cross to the back post Ambrosini's header from point blank range.

There was more bad news for Juve, as Chiellini sprained knee and form of Nicola Legrottaglie. The scene was disturbing, since it took off in clear pain and almost in tears. It also means that it will not be available for Wednesday friendly against Austria in Italy.

Cristian Molinaro snapshot was deflected for a corner, then Legrottaglie's header clipped the vertical. Del Piero faced with a tough save out of Abbiati with a curling free-kick. As promised Milan introduced Inzaghi and Nelson Dida for the second half, while Ekdale and Alex Manning arrived at Juve for.

Inzaghi took only seven minutes to make his mark after a long injury layoffs, nodding in another Seedorf cross chipped in a goal almost identical to that of Ambrosini.

Juventus clearly had their minds elsewhere and Milan tore through the defence, Ambrosini first touch a bit too strong to beat Manning, the Austrian goalkeeper was his ground to deny Inzaghi. Amauri will be out on the counter, but blasted wide.

Ranieri has introduced three young Starlets team and one of them, Christian Pasquato, grabbed a consolation goal for Juventus. The Daniele Bonera send the wrong track with a dummy and smashed a powerful finish past Dida at the near post.

Esposito also impressed with some superb dribbling and passing through Ekdale, but it was very hard booked for simulation after what appeared to be a penalty for failure to Bonera.

Juventus really should have been 3-2 moments later, but a series of chaotic goalline saves and kept out of games and Amauri Pasquato. However, Milan become a classic counter-attack with Inzaghi smart to push back the rush-Ambrosini's cool left foot strike into the top corner. It is similar to Del Piero on the goal of the 2006 World Cup semi-final against Germany.--channel4--
