It's Murder For Managers

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted the stress of modern day management at the top level is extremely hard to cope with...

After watching Chelsea overcome their first half slumber to dispatch Newcastle United by two goals to nil, Manchester United manager admitted that, even with his decades of experience, the tension takes its toll.

The win sees the Blues go level with the Red Devils, behind only on goal difference with one game to play in the league season. It is the first season that two sides have ever gone to the final day level at the top and for Sir Alex admits the stakes are getting incredibly high.

“The nature of the league is murder for managers like me and Avram Grant — and it’s nerve-racking for our players and fans as well," admitted the Scotsman.

“But if we can detach ourselves from the turmoil for a moment, we have got to concede it would be impossible to make the Premier League any more exciting than it is.

“There just isn’t a dead cert outcome when it comes to predicting results.”(source: goal.com)
