Chelsea win keeps title hopes alive

Goals from Michael Ballack and Florent Malouda handed Chelsea a deserved win against Newcastle and ensured the title race will go down to the final day.

Michael Owen had two first-half chances to give Newcastle the lead, while Ballack miscued when through on goal.

But after the break John Terry headed against the cross-bar before Ballack nodded in Didier Drogba's cross and Malouda made it 2-0 with a cool finish.

Chelsea now trail leaders Manchester United by a goal difference of 17. -- source:bbc
