The coach of the German team football, Joachim Low, expelled the striker Kevin Kuranyi from the merger after it disappeared in the middle of the disputed match against Russia, apparently angry at not having been included in the campus.
"I can not accept how they react and that's why Kevin did not convene in the future for the selection," said the German coach. Low wait until the attacker returned to the concentration in Dusseldorf on Sunday at noon, but given that he did not decided to dispense with it in the future.
Schalke's striker was left out of the call in the match against Russia as well as its companion Jermaine Jones and complained to Low for the decision. Kuranyi followed from the rostrum of the first half of the match, but the rest disappeared without explanation and did not respond to calls from the leaders of the team.
After the game, Kuranyi was searched without success at the stadium in Dortmund, and then, the team returned to their hotel concentration. There's two friends came forward to collect their personal belongings. On Sunday 'Bild am Sonntag' indicates that the player resigned to the selection, claiming that their exclusion from the team in Dortmund was "the straw that filled the glass." Kuranyi also complained of lack of support from the coach.
It is not the first time that the striker, 26, is not taken into account for international matches. Jürgen Klinsmann and Low, then by his assistant, left him off the roster for the World Cup 2006.
After a good season at Schalke, Kuranyi celebrated in February 2007 a successful return to the combined German and was part of the team that was crowned European runner-up, albeit with short appearances in the final round. Kuranyi, who also has citizenship in Panama and Brazil, debuted in March 2003 in the German team, for which he played 52 games and marked 19 goals.
